Retro Bowl

Privacy Policy

What we collect

retrobowl.gg is a static site. We do not ask you to register, we do not run a login, and we do not store personal information on servers of our own. The hosting provider records the usual request data in its logs, meaning your IP address, user agent, the URL requested and the time, and that data is used only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.

Ratings and comments

If you rate a game or leave a comment, the rating, the comment text and the name you enter are stored so they can be shown on the page. A salted, one-way fingerprint derived from your connection is stored to stop the same visitor voting twice; the raw IP address is not kept. Comments are public. Do not put personal details in them.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings and out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info. Google’s own policy on data in advertising is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Embedded games

Retro Bowl runs from this domain and keeps your career save in your browser's local storage; it never leaves your device. The other games run inside an iframe served from a separate game host. Once a game starts, any storage it uses to save progress or settings lives in your browser under that host, and we have no access to it.

Local storage

The site remembers, in your browser only, the star rating you gave a game so the widget does not reset on your next visit. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
